Jewellery Care

Wear often, protect the finish.

A practical care guide for retail customers and wholesale buyers. First check the named product's material, finish, stones and water guidance; these details vary by SKU.

What to Protect

Care by material and finish.

Each material group has a different failure point. The care routine below keeps the advice clear enough for a product page, insert card, or buyer training note.

1

316 stainless steel base

Steel Base

Where the named SKU specifies 316 stainless steel, clean gently with mild soap when appropriate and dry fully before storage, especially around links and clasps.

Avoid: bleach, chlorine, steel wool, rough polishing paste

2

18K-gold PVD, rose-gold PVD, black PVD

PVD Finish

Where the named SKU specifies PVD, follow its care notes. Process and performance vary; avoid showering, swimming, chemicals and abrasion unless written guidance says otherwise.

Avoid: chlorine, sanitizer, perfume, abrasive cloths, ultrasonic cleaning

3

CZ, crystal, and set stones

Stone Setting

CZ and crystal settings should be checked after impact. Clean around prongs with a soft dry brush, then wipe the surface so lotion and dust do not dull the stone.

Avoid: ultrasonic cleaning unless approved, hard knocks, lotion build-up

4

Pearl, shell, enamel, resin accents

Delicate Details

Pearl, shell, enamel, and resin details should be kept away from harsh cleaners. Wipe with a dry soft cloth and store away from direct heat or strong light.

Avoid: soaking, alcohol, perfume spray, heat, sealed damp storage

Care Routine

Three habits that prevent most after-sale problems.

Do not assume water resistance. Remove jewellery before showering, swimming or chemical exposure unless the named product provides different written care guidance.

1 minute After wear After sweat, sea water, rain, or cosmetics, wipe the piece with a soft dry cloth. If needed, rinse with clean water and mild soap, then dry completely.
Monthly Hardware check Check clasps, earring posts, jump rings, stone seats, and chain links. Stop wearing the piece if a finding is loose and request repair before it fails.
Dry Storage Store pieces separately in a dry pouch or tray. Never leave plated pieces tangled together, damp in a bag, or next to perfume and sanitizer.

Stainless steel is strong, but the finish is still a surface. Protect the surface and the piece keeps its retail look much longer.

Jewena care standard

For wholesale packs, we can include care-card wording aligned to your customer support policy. The rules stay simple: keep chemicals away, dry before storage, and avoid abrasive cleaning.
